So who's to blame?
While I agree that trolling sucks and definitely happened, I can't believe that 1) they were fans and 2) they could so influence the audience.
First off, trolls are trolls. They say and do things to get a reaction. If they were trolling, then they weren't fans, they were trolls.
Second, just because someone complained or didn't like something, that doesn't make them a troll. If the story is weak and the characters are flat and the tension is predictable and the underlining message isn't very subtle…
Third, if your Hollywood marketing department can't counter trolls, someone isn't doing their job. And of these two articles, one is definitely trolling.
