This was a problem in a past church we attended. The pastor didn't think it was a problem for the group to share homebrews after the midweek Bible study. Which on the service isn't necessarily bad but when you knowingly have a struggling alcoholic in your group who abstain at the group but goes home and gets drunk because of the temptation, well then you have abused your freedom in Christ.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
